The short version
We use personal information to manage bookings, answer enquiries, keep the attraction safe and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
Who we are
Kernow Slide Ltd is the controller of personal information described in this policy. Our company number is 15190300.
You can contact us at Kernow Slide Ltd, Ladder Lane, Bodmin, PL30 4EF; email info@kernowslide.co.uk; or telephone 07379 482909.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- your name, email address, telephone number and postal address;
- booking, visit, participant and waiver information you provide;
- transaction and payment-status information, but not your complete card details when payment is handled by a payment provider;
- messages, enquiries, feedback and correspondence;
- marketing choices, where you have made them; and
- basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and security or server logs.
If you voluntarily tell us about a health, disability or accessibility need relevant to a safe visit, we only use that information where necessary and with an appropriate additional legal condition.
Why we use it
We use personal information for the following purposes:
Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests include running the attraction, helping customers, maintaining security and protecting legal rights. We consider the impact on the people whose data we use.
Who we share it with
We share information only where needed with service providers that support bookings, payments, website hosting, email and IT. This can include MatterPay and the payment processor used for a transaction.
We may also share information with insurers, professional advisers, regulators, courts, emergency services or law-enforcement bodies where reasonably necessary or required by law. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Some technology or payment providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires it, we use providers that rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual and other safeguards. Contact us if you want more information about safeguards relevant to your data.
How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected. We consider booking and customer-service needs, legal and tax record requirements, insurance requirements, possible legal claims, the age of participants, and the sensitivity of the information. Marketing records are kept until you unsubscribe or we no longer need them. You may ask us about the period applying to a particular record.
Your data rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal information;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask us to delete or restrict the use of information;
- object to certain uses, including direct marketing;
- receive information in a portable format in some cases; and
- withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis.
To exercise a right, email info@kernowslide.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
Children’s information
Bookings for children should be made or authorised by a responsible adult. We limit children’s information to what is reasonably needed for the booking, waiver, visit and safety. A parent or guardian can contact us about information relating to their child, subject to applicable rights and identity checks.
Cookies and external services
Our website may use essential technology and server logs needed to deliver and secure it. If we introduce non-essential analytics or marketing cookies, we will request consent where required. Booking, payment, maps and social-media pages are operated by third parties and have their own privacy and cookie information.
Questions and complaints
Please contact us first if you have a privacy question or concern so we can try to resolve it.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data-protection regulator. Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes to this policy
We review this policy and update it when our services or use of personal information changes. We will bring significant changes to people’s attention where appropriate. The latest revision date appears at the top.
Online bookings, invitations and visitor counts
We use your name, email, phone, postcode, ticket selections, membership numbers, payment references and attendance records to administer your booking, provide customer service and keep necessary accounting records. Stripe handles card details; our booking database stores encrypted records. For group invitations, organisers provide guest names and contact addresses, guests can give RSVP and contact information, and staff record participation-form checks. Each invitation is separate even when siblings share a parent email. Organiser lists require a private link and email verification on new devices.
Essential cookies keep sign-in, booking security and organiser verification working. We count visits by page once per browser session; counts are visible to staff only. We do not set an advertising analytics cookie for this counter. Booking emails are service messages. Marketing offers are optional, use a separate consent choice and include an unsubscribe link. Requests entered into the optional staff AI assistant are sent to the configured AI service; customer booking records are not included automatically. Do not put customer details in staff AI requests.
Encrypted backups may be copied to configured Google Drive and independent storage accounts. We keep booking and accounting information for as long as necessary for the relevant service, legal obligations and claims, and periodically review guest information and private links for deletion. Contact info@kernowslide.co.uk to ask about your information or exercise applicable data rights. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
