Booking with us
Kernow Slide Ltd operates the outdoor slip and slide at Ladder Lane, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL30 4EF. Company number 15190300; VAT number 452295488. Contact info@kernowslide.co.uk or 07379 482909. The price, visit date, start time, duration, ticket quantities and any balance are shown before payment. A booking is confirmed when the website records successful payment or expressly confirms an amount payable onsite. A payment return screen alone is not proof of confirmation.
Tickets, prices and booking fees
Standard entry is £13 for a one-hour session, with £12 advance entry when booked at least five calendar days before the visit. Groups of 10 or more paid entry tickets receive 10% off eligible entry prices. The best available advance, group or promotional offer applies; discounts do not stack. A 20p booking fee applies to each paid entry ticket, including paid group tickets. Member entry, children aged 4 and under, and membership purchases have no booking fee. Meal extras do not attract a separate ticket fee. Standard baskets allow up to 20 riders; group baskets need at least 10 paid entry tickets and allow up to 40 riders in total. Children aged 4 and under do not count towards the minimum of 10 paid entries. Member tickets are booked separately under Slide tickets. Up to 40 meal deals can be added. Free spectators do not need a rider ticket. Prices include VAT where applicable.
Private hire: duration, deposit and balance
Private hire is £300 per hour, with a £50 deposit per hour paid when booking and £250 per hour due on the day. Your deposit is non-refundable if you cancel, subject to the consumer protections below. Examples: one hour costs £300 with a £50 deposit; two hours cost £600 with a £100 deposit; three hours cost £900 with a £150 deposit. The deposit forms part of the hire price. There is no additional per-rider booking fee for exclusive private hire. 10am hire lasts one hour and finishes at 11am. 5pm hire may last one, two or three hours. All hire must end by 8pm. Availability is checked again before payment. Public online bookings require at least 10 calendar days’ notice; contact us for shorter notice. Participation forms must be signed before anyone rides. The organiser is responsible for arranging parental signatures where parents will be absent.
If you cancel or cannot attend
Date-specific slide sessions and private hire reserve capacity for a particular visit and do not normally have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or move a booking. Date changes depend on availability and written agreement; they are not guaranteed. For ordinary session tickets, any cancellation charge or amount retained must reflect our reasonable net loss, taking account of saved costs and any resale. For private hire, the £50-per-hour deposit is intended to cover reasonable reservation and preparation losses if you cancel. We will not retain more than our reasonable net loss after savings and resale, and will refund any excess. We will not automatically charge the unpaid hire balance as a penalty. Booking fees are subject to the same consumer protections. These terms do not prevent a refund or other remedy where the law requires one.
If Kernow Slide cancels or conditions are unsafe
We may stop or cancel sessions for lightning, strong winds, unsafe equipment or other safety reasons. Ordinary rain does not by itself stop sliding. If we cancel before your session, you may choose an available replacement or a full refund of the cancelled service, including its booking fee and private-hire deposit. If a session is materially curtailed, contact us to agree an appropriate remedy, including a proportionate refund where due. Your statutory rights remain unaffected. We do not keep a private-hire deposit when we cancel the service. We will contact the booking email address or phone number; organisers should pass updates to guests.
Arrival, children and participation
Arrive 10–15 minutes early. A late arrival does not extend your booked time. Everyone riding needs the appropriate ticket, including members and children aged 4 and under. Children aged 4 and under ride free with an adult aged 16 or over and still count towards capacity. No booking fee applies to these free tickets. Children aged 5 and over may ride alone only if they can swim and exit the inflatable unaided. Adults remain responsible for children in their care. Read the participation agreement and follow staff instructions, permitted rider arrangements and safety briefings. Bring swimwear and a towel; clothing must not have sharp parts, zips, buttons or rivets. Rings and bodyboards are included. There are toilets but no changing rooms.
Memberships
Membership is £50 per person for the displayed season, with no booking fee, and includes one visit in each Monday–Sunday week during published opening dates. A membership does not guarantee availability; book each visit using that person’s number and the registered email. Member visits have no ticket charge or booking fee. Memberships are personal and must be active for the selected date. Each person receives a separate number. A seasonal membership purchased online may have statutory cancellation rights; contact us within 14 days if you wish to cancel. If you expressly ask us to start supplying services within that period, any deduction for use must be lawful and proportionate. These date-specific ticket cancellation terms do not remove applicable membership cancellation rights.
Group invitations and information
Group and private-hire organisers can invite guests by email or share a prepared WhatsApp message themselves. Multiple guests may use the same parent email address; each invitation has its own private link and RSVP. Organiser access uses a private link and email verification on new devices. Keep links confidential and enter contact information only where you have permission. Guests see their own invitation, and the organiser sees the invitation list and replies. The RSVP acknowledgement is not a signed participation form; staff check signed forms before riding. Contact us if forms need to be sent to absent parents in advance.
Food, spectators and conduct
Meal deals are optional and shown separately before payment. Tell the food team about allergies before ordering; do not assume any product is allergen free. Spectators are welcome. Payments accepted onsite when space is available. Follow staff instructions and treat visitors, staff and equipment respectfully. Staff may refuse unsafe participation or remove a person causing serious disruption; any resulting refund is assessed fairly in the circumstances. Personal belongings should be kept safe. Nothing here excludes liability for our negligence.
Payments, technical errors and refunds
Places are held for five minutes during online checkout. A hold that expires does not guarantee entry. A payment received after expiry is placed into the refund process rather than automatically restoring the booking. Stripe processes card payments; we do not store card numbers. Requested refunds are confirmed when their outcome is received from Stripe. Bank processing times may vary. Contact us with the booking reference if a payment succeeds without a confirmation or a refund needs checking. Offline payments and refunds are recorded separately.
Website use, liability and privacy
Use this website lawfully and do not interfere with bookings, security or other users. Our branding, photos and original content must not be reused commercially without permission. We take reasonable care over accuracy and availability; changes to future prices do not change an accepted booking. We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our privacy notice explains how booking and guest information is handled.
Complaints, changes and governing law
Contact info@kernowslide.co.uk or 07379 482909 with your reference and concern so we can investigate and respond. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. UK consumers retain mandatory protections and access to courts where they live. The version accepted when booking applies to that booking; later wording changes apply to future bookings unless agreed or required by law. Last updated 16 October 2026. Terms version: 2027-v3.1-20261016.
